It’s available in a convenient vacuum-packed package. The amount of flour in the package is ideal for making traditional Piedmontese hazelnut cake.
Preparation time: 20 minutes
Cooking time: approximately 40 minutes
300 g hazelnut flour
100 g butter
4 eggs
180 g sugar
40 g 00 flour
1 sachet baking powder
Beat the eggs and sugar until frothy, then add the previously softened butter. In a bowl, combine the 00 flour, hazelnut flour, and baking powder. Add the dry ingredients to the egg mixture until smooth.
Line a 24cm cake pan with parchment paper, then pour in the mixture and smooth it out. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) until a toothpick inserted into the cake comes out clean. Remove from the oven and dust with powdered sugar and chopped hazelnuts.
